HHoops In The Community

In addition to providing the community an opportunity to learn and play basketball, HHoops is also involved in giving back. See below for some recent highlights!

Harlem Wizards visit HHoops!

On November 9, 2024, HHoops and the Hatboro-Horsham Educational Foundation collaborated on a community event where the Harlem Wizards played a game against Hatboro-Horsham School District employees, Hatboro-Horsham Basketball alumni, and HHoops coaches/board members. The sold out event was a huge success, raising money for HHoops, Hatboro-Horsham School District, and the Hatboro-Horsham Boys and Girls Basketball teams.

Extra special thanks to our Hatters sponsor: Angelo’s Italian Kitchen

Challenger Day 2024

HHOOPS was proud to host the 2024 Challenger Day at Hatboro-Horsham High School on Sunday, November 24th! The HHoops Challenger Day is designed for children and young adults with special needs.  This free event is for individuals 8 years of age or older, who have physical, developmental and/or intellectual disabilities.  It provides the opportunity to play, grow and thrive through recreational and social opportunities.

We appreciate all donors, including the Rotary Club of Horsham, DJ Tom Kennedy, Kelly Krall Photography, the Phillie Phanatic, Santa Claus, Coach Bill Coleman, Coach Eric Glemser, and the boys’ and girls’ high school basketball teams, as well as our Hatboro-Horsham Community Volunteers!

Special thanks to the coordinating committee, specifically Amy McKinney, Colleen Bynum, Bridget McCue, and Dan Smith. Without you, this event would not be possible! We appreciate your time and effort! We hope everyone had fun!
