Gym Rules
HHoops greatly depends on the partnership and strong relationship with Hatboro-Horsham School District in order to use their facilities and it is important to follow all rules and requests by the district. Without this relationship, HHoops would not be able to provide a great experience for your kids every year. From time to time, there are last minute changes to gym availability and we will need to defer to changes in school event usage.
Gym rules are below and must be adhered to by all participants and attendees of HHoops games or practices, and apply to all facilities used for those activities:
- Please do not enter the gymnasiums or schools before the time your coaches advise (typically 5 minutes before your practice or game starts).
- Please do not drop off your children at practices or games unless a coach is visibly at the gym/facility. Children cannot enter or be left unattended at a gym/facility without a responsible adult present.
- Please leave as soon as practice or game is over and do not linger in gym as we often go right up to our allotted time limit.
- There is to be no ball playing, dribbling, or other play in the hallways of any Hatboro-Horsham School District facility or House of HHoops.
- Please leave all facilities in the same or better condition as how you found them, taking all trash and items with you.
- Non-playing children must not be left unattended during practices or games. This includes in the lobby or the hallways outside the gymnasium or House of HHoops.
- Please be respectful of any other groups we interact with in the space.
- Please do not prop open any doors that are not unlocked.
- Please put away any chairs or items used for our events.
There are also specific rules by facility, found below. Anyone found to be in violation of these rules will be subject to review as outlined in the Code of Conduct.
- House of HHoops:
- Do not park in any reserved parking spots in the lot. Violators will be towed at the owner’s expense.
- Do not leave your non-playing children unattended during practices or games. They are not permitted to enter any office or business without adult supervision.
- Hallowell Elementary:
- Do not remove any chairs from behind the stage curtain in the gymnasium or play with/remove any gym equipment from the closet or hallways near the water fountain.
- If you need to sit on a chair during a practice or game, there are folding chairs available in the gym closet. These must be folded back up and returned before you leave the facility.
- Keith Valley Middle School:
- No one at KVMS for a basketball game should enter the natatorium for any reason.
- Under no circumstances should a parent go into the boys’ or girls’ locker rooms located between the natatorium and the gymnasium.
